• No Gloam account is required.
• Videos and photos you import stay on your Mac unless you move or share them.
• The current website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
• Website hosting, downloads, and Pexels browsing involve the service providers described below.

Gloam stores preferences in macOS UserDefaults and imported media, scene metadata, caches, and local diagnostics under your user Library folders. This information is used to remember your settings and operate your wallpapers.

Gloam does not upload your imported personal videos or photos to Gloam servers. You can remove imported content in the app or by deleting Gloam's local Application Support data.

Desktop wallpapers do not require Full Disk Access. If you enable lock-screen video, Gloam asks for Full Disk Access because macOS requires access to its wallpaper storage. Gloam uses that permission to stage and manage wallpaper files and related system settings.

Full Disk Access is powerful. It does not technically limit an app to wallpaper folders, so only enable it if you want the lock-screen feature. You can revoke it at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access.

When you visit the website, the hosting server and content delivery or security provider may process standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamps, and security signals. This data is used to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the site. Retention follows the applicable provider and server configuration.

The current website has no account form, newsletter form, ad network, or behavioral analytics. It does not intentionally set analytics or advertising cookies. Essential security or network cookies may be set by infrastructure providers when needed to protect the service.

• Pexels: Pexels media is free to use under the Pexels License, but it is not copyright-free. License restrictions and third-party rights may still apply. Pexels also requires separate eligibility for API-powered wallpaper apps; Gloam's in-app Pexels discovery remains pending approval. If enabled, search and catalog requests pass through Gloam's API proxy to Pexels and may expose your IP address and technical request information to the network providers involved. Your personal media is not included. Review the Pexels License, wallpaper-app guidance, and privacy policy.
• GitHub: Release details are loaded from GitHub, and clicking Download sends you to GitHub Releases to retrieve the DMG. GitHub receives the request under its privacy statement.
• Cloudflare: The public website may use Cloudflare for DNS, delivery, and protection. Cloudflare processes network and security data under its privacy policy.

Gloam reads only the image files you explicitly choose through Apple's file picker. It does not request access to your Photos library. The slideshow is rendered and stored locally in Gloam's Application Support folder, and your personal photos are not uploaded.

Gloam does not sell your personal information. Data is shared only as needed with the service providers above, when you direct an action, or when required to comply with law or protect the service and its users.

Local app data remains until you remove it or uninstall and delete the associated files. Network logs may remain for the period configured by the relevant hosting or security provider. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no application or network transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

You can use your own local videos without browsing Pexels, decline or revoke Full Disk Access, and remove local content. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information Gloam controls.
